How is the Ontario Workforce Priority EOI scored?
Eleven factors add up to a maximum of 130 for a job-offer applicant: NOC TEER 9, broad occupational category 10, hourly wage 15, Ontario work experience 18, Canadian earnings 8, legal status 10, education 10, Canadian credentials 10, first official language 15, knowledge of both official languages 10, and location of work 15. A score is not an invitation — Ontario can still run targeted draws by occupation, region or sector.

How is Ontario work experience counted if I am new to the role?
The two experience columns are mutually exclusive. If you have been in the offered position for six months or more you score 12, 15 or 18 depending on tenure. If you have been in it for less than six months, you are scored instead on your cumulative Ontario work experience, worth up to 12 — the two are never added together.

|---|---|
| 13–24 months in the job offer position | 15 |

It is one factor of eleven and does not affect eligibility.

Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum Ontario Workforce Priority EOI score?
130 points for a job-offer applicant, adding the maximum of every factor: 9 + 10 + 15 + 18 + 8 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 15 + 10 + 15. The score decides ranking in the pool, not eligibility.
Which OINP stream does this calculator cover?
The Ontario Workforce Priority Stream as redesigned for 2026. The former Employer Job Offer (Foreign Worker, International Student, In-Demand Skills) and Masters/PhD Graduate streams, among the previous eight, have closed.
At what wage do points start?
At CAD 20 per hour. $20–24.99 scores 5, $25–29.99 scores 8, $30–34.99 scores 10, $35–39.99 scores 12, and $40 or more scores 15. Below $20 an hour the factor scores zero.
How do the 10 points for two official languages work?
You need CLB 6 or higher in both English and French to count as knowing two official languages, which scores 10; one language scores 5. This is separate from, and stacks with, the first official language factor scored on your lowest CLB out of 15.
Does visitor status count as legal status?
You may still hold valid status as a visitor, but the factor scores zero: only a valid work permit (10) or study permit (5) earns points here.
Which doctorate qualifies for the 10 education points?
The top education row is specifically a doctorate or degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. A master's degree scores 8, and a bachelor's degree or a university certificate or diploma above bachelor level scores 6.
Also in the Express Entry pool?
An Ontario nomination is worth 600 CRS points, so it is usually worth tracking both scores while you decide which route to lead with.
